All the Love
11.5" x 14" x 3.5"
Currently showing at C Word Contemporary Craft Show, Portland, ME
Devotion, weaponized. All the Love mixes ornate imagery with tactile relics of labor and war. Magnifiers twist what we think we know, augers puncture both wood and metaphor, and love takes on its most chaotic form.

All the Love weaves together medieval narrative and mechanical intervention, evoking both intimacy and conflict. A baroque battle scene—dense with tumult, gesture, and emotion—forms the backdrop, partially obscured by magnifying lenses that fracture and distort the imagery beneath. Two large antique auger bits pierce the foreground like relics of interrogation or creation. A thread-bound lens hovers above a resolute armored figure, while a miniature skull and a spray of embedded jewels quietly punctuate the scene. This densely layered work suggests that devotion—spiritual, romantic, or ideological—can be both beautiful and brutal, depending on the tools we wield.
