Frozen in Time is a one-of-a-kind found-object assemblage that explores memory, surveillance, and suspended moments. At its center, a vintage camera lens peers outward—its glass revealing the faint image of a ghoulish, human-like figure caught within, as if preserved inside the mechanism itself. The effect is subtle but unsettling, suggesting a moment captured and never released. Surrounding the lens, layered textures of weathered paper, aged wood, and mechanical fragments form a dense, tactile field. Brass discs, small gears, and patinated components echo the language of timekeeping and observation, while carved wooden leaves introduce an organic counterpoint—nature pressing in on engineered memory. The piece feels part reliquary, part device: an artifact devoted to what lingers, watches, and refuses to fade.
