Nautical Bearings merges the tactile presence of maritime relics with the dreamlike textures of layered imagery. A brass gear crowns the piece, suggesting the machinery of navigation, while a ship’s compass nestled among shells and ceramic fragments calls to mind journeys across uncertain waters. Backed by maps, postcards, and seafaring ephemera, this assemblage feels like an artifact from both the sea and memory.
