Progression assembles the remnants of industrial infrastructure into a vertical, totem-like form that suggests both mechanical anatomy and human ascent. Corroded pipes rise through the composition, intersected by valves, fittings, and clusters of interlocking gears. Glass spheres—evoking cells, planets, or droplets—punctuate the structure, introducing moments of color and quiet tension amid the rusted metal.
The piece reads as a diagram of movement: energy flowing upward, systems evolving through friction and wear. The layered, stone-like background reinforces a sense of geological time, positioning human industry as one phase within a much larger cycle of transformation.
