Staccato captures the fleeting, fragmented nature of sound and memory through the striking silhouette of a black violin entwined with delicate wire forms. Mounted on an ornate, repurposed wooden mirror frame, the instrument becomes both relic and ornament—an echo of music no longer heard but still visually resonant. The scrollwork of the frame and the glint of embedded hardware mimic the flourish of musical notes, while the mirrored surface behind hints at distortion, reflection, and what’s left unsaid between each note.
